You must be aware that the crease of a silk and cotton cloths will be quite different from each other.
The next important factor to learn how to draw people is the figure drawing. If you learn exactly about the body parts of the humans then you should learn it from an anatomy book. The figure of male and female body is not alike there are so many differences. On the other hand if you are going to draw a kid it will be different from drawing an adult sketch.
When you are drawing the face of people you need to show the expression and feelings on the face of people. The eyes, eyebrows and mouth are the three basic regions to express the feelings and emotions in a good manner. When you are drawing the eye portion a little white do in between the eye ball will show the livelier look of your sketch because eyes will be shown as light reflecting.
The location and background is also an important thing when you are drawing people. If the person is in door then you will show the internal environment as expression. If the person is shown outside then you can include original natural background with in the sketch.
